Gregory Leavitt is licensed in Colorado and Utah. From 2006 to the present, Gregory Leavitt’s focus has been personal injury, responsible for handling client cases from intake to trial. He has litigated hundreds of civil cases involving personal injury, contract disputes, wrongful death, insurance disputes, premises liability, taken hundreds of depositions and tried civil cases to jury verdict.
He has drafted and argued extensive substantive motions, motions in limine, regarding complex areas of law to include but not limited to corporate officer liability, manufacturing/engineering schematics, validity of waivers in tort cases, validity and existence of wills, double jeopardy related to criminal law, Daubert and Shrek challenges, applicability of various civil jury instructions, fraudulent transfer issues related to assets sales and stock exchanges to name a few. He has successfully recovered millions of dollars on behalf of clients over the last 15 years.
Attorney Leavitt has litigated several substantial pro bono cases, including complex legal issues regarding insanity and homeowner’s policy of insurance when State Farm refused to pay for fire damage for a mother of three when her husband suffered serious mental illness and caused the home to burn down. The result of that case was that the home was rebuilt, and the family was relocated into home prior to Christmas.
